The Wyoming
Association for Career and Technical Education (WACTE) has two primary
goals right now. The first is to provide quality staff development
to the educators, counselors and administrators that serve the students
throughout the state who are enrolled in these classes. This staff
development integrates the academic component and the business and
industry skills that will prepare the student to be successful in
post-secondary education and/ or the workforce. Leadership staff
development is also an important component in meeting this goal.
This is accomplished through local, regional, and national conferences
and workshops.
goal is to continue to strengthen the relationships between business and
industry and post-secondary education entities. Business and
industry input is essential to the validity of Career and Technical
Education programs. The formation of the Business Coalition brings
business representatives from around the state together to advise
educators about the business and industry perspective. WACTE is
dedicated to maintaining an organized forum of communication with these
representatives.
