Conferences and Professional Development

WACTE offers three conferences at the state level every year.  Each conference allows individuals to get together to discuss important topics in CTE within the state.  These conferences are:

Summer Conference - The WACTE Summer Conference provides quality staff development to the educators, counselors and administrators that serve students enrolled in Career Tech Ed classes throughout the state. This staff development integrates the academic component and the business and industry skills that will prepare the student to be successful in post-secondary education and/or the workforce.

School Improvement Conference - Hosted by the North Central Accreditation Division of the Wyoming Department of Education, this conference is designed to give practical information to teachers and administration in order to provide assistance with their School Improvement plan.

WACTE Officer Retreat and Training Meeting - Officers and leaders within the WACTE organization have the opportunity to come together to improve leadership skills and develop the organization’s annual strategic plan. The 2007 Office Retreat will take place on July - more information will be posted here in the near future. This retreat is for the President and President Elects of each division and all committee chairs
